Much like in the previous Denpa Men, in Denpa Men 3 every monster has different attacks and abilities depending on the area you are traveling in. The key for doing well is to switch your party members in each area to have the best composition for the environment.

For instance, if you encounter a monster while traveling in a boat, that monster uses water type attacks, has resistance to fire attacks, and most of the time has less resistance to electric attacks. For this type of monster, Denpa Men with blue bodies with electric type antenna become very effective. The Denpa Men with blue bodies have resistance to water attacks which reduces the amount of damage taken, and does huge damage with electric attacks against the low electric resistance of the monster.

When you travel to a new area, check and see what type of monsters are in the area. Then switch to your party members that take the best advantage of the monsters' weaknesses.
