The appearance of Denpa Men vary. They all look different and their body colors or sizes affect their abilities. Body color determines defensive ability against attacks from monsters. For instance, Denpa Men with red bodies have resistance against fire attacks, and Denpa Men with blue bodies have resistance against water attacks. In turn, Denpa Men with red bodies have less resistance against water attacks and Denpa Men with blue bodies have less resistance against electric attacks.

Denpa Men with antenna on their head have special abilities. Each antenna has different specialties, such as special attacking and healing abilities.

In Denpa Men 3, there is a new ability called "Catch". With this ability, Denpa Men can catch monsters or summon caught monsters during battles.
